Details:
I downloaded a meme app from a small company, aiming to create custom filters for YouTube videos. Struggling with the app, I contacted the developers, who surprised me by sending back a hilarious completed meme. Impressed, I wanted to support them by leaving positive comments on user videos. As I was about to comment, my phone displayed a detailed log of my activities, recording every keystroke and action. Including how long of a pause I had between actions, things I typed even though I had hit backspace and never sent them, personal information, and more.
It escalated when I discovered sensitive information, including pharmaceutical data (trying to push certain addictive drugs onto people and to avoid prescribing drugs that were considered ‘competitors’) and inappropriate conversations among Apple employees (with violent and graphic footage being sent). I was desperate to screen record it, but my phone kept glitching. I tried to use my friend’s phone to take a video of my screen, then his device glitched out and a message from Apple popped up on his screen threatening me and my family if I ever leaked anything. The experience felt eerily real, and I woke up abruptly.
Note: I was completely able to use my phone. Normally when I dream of my phone, the screen behaves strangely or looks different than usual. I recall typing perfectly, scrolling through emojis, switching between apps, etc. all in perfect detail.
